ROW80 Week 3: Restored

(other ROW80 participants)

I put my writing goal on hiatus this week, due to illness and stress. Combined with a reasonably calm weekend, that gave me the time to get my other goals under control:

First of all, I looked at two more houses. I haven’t made a decision yet, but my understanding of what I can get — and for how much — is improving.

Secondly, I read through Arrow’s Flight, by Mercedes Lackey — book two of The Heralds of Valdemar.

What I really liked about the the first book (Arrows of the Queen) was the way it was driven by internal conflict, rather than external fighting or romance (although those did happen); the second one, didn’t disappoint me.

I also got a small amount of writing done over the weekend. From today, I’m diving back into my writing goal: five evenings a week, including two short stories.

Good luck and happy writing!

  1. I hope that you are feeling better and that the stress is ebbing away. It’s ok to take time off and sometimes it is necessary not only for physical good but mental as well. Best wishes for a more productive week.

    Excellent to hear!!

I have not read The Herald’s of Valdemar series. I love the Mage War Series, Storm Breaking series (blanking on the name), and the Last Herald Mage series. I am slowly making my way through the different series of her. She does create great internal conflict!

    Here’s to an awesome week!

I only just got to the Valdemar series myself; I started with the Dragon Joust books and 500 Kingdoms, and I’ve been working my way back in time.

May your week be just as awesome!
