About

Please, be welcome!

This was originally supposed to be a story about the trials and tribulations of an evil overlord; but I wasn’t very good at writing it, and no-one wanted to read it.

Instead, I do two things: I post updates for A Round of Words in 80 Days (weekly, usually on Mondays); and I post small pieces of writing as I finish them.
I was in the habit of posting a sonnet twice a month, but I’m unfortunately not writing enough of them any more.

This is a blog about the trials and tribulations of an evil overlord (and therefore, obviously, a work of fiction). I originally planned to write a story here, but it turns out sonnets are easier, so I do those.I usually post about once a month, but I want to try and get up to fortnightly.

Jenkins Rising is an attempt to actually write a story I’ve been planning to write for a long time. Basically, it’s about (or will be, once I’ve introduced everyone) the trials and tribulations of four people trying to set up a fantasy/science fiction evil empire, and everyone else they’ve dragged along with them.

There is a lot more to the world this is supposed to be happening in than just one submarine base – the Asonian Empire, the city-state of A, Isikyus, Elves, and so on. Some of the stuff I post will probably try and go into the background in a bit more detail, or tell stories that aren’t anchored in the evil empire I’m currently covering.

For the moment, Jenkins Rising updates fortnightly, every second Sunday intermittently, on Sundays. What time on Sunday varies; wait until Monday before assuming I’ve missed a day.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy the tale as it unfolds!

P.S. As you may have noticed, this tells you absolutely nothing about me. I would rather avoid putting information on the Internet that I might never be able to get back.

Thanks for the visit and the ‘like’ on my post. Your about page is very intriguing so I’m going to definitely read more. Evil Overlords and heroes. Sounds good.
